Locus is a short pipeline from the posts you save to the things you do. Here is each step in detail, including exactly what happens to your data along the way.
Sync your saves
The Locus browser extension collects the posts you have saved on Instagram and X. It works inside your own logged-in session, the same one already open in your browser, so it only ever touches your own saved posts.
Your platform credentials stay in local browser storage (chrome.storage.local) on your device. They are never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
Classify every save
Each synced post gets read and understood: is it a recipe, a workout, a place, a product, a show? Locus works out what the save actually is and files it into a living collection, tagged the way you would actually search for it.
A pasta reel lands in recipes. A hotel post lands in places. A mobility routine lands in exercise. You never sort anything by hand.
Browse a real library
Your saves stop being a grid of thumbnails and become a library with real collections. Browse each kind by the axes that fit it: cuisine, body region, country and city.
Open one collection and flip through it, or stack a hashtag on any view and cut across the whole library. Either way, the thing you half-remember saving is a few flips away, not forty screens deep in a feed.
Act on what you saved
A save is only worth something when you use it. Open a recipe and press Start cooking: it unfolds into a paper checklist you can follow at the stove. Workouts run as circuits with a timer. Saved places land on a map. And when you cannot decide, head-to-head ranking settles which save is actually your favorite.

- Video is downloaded, processed, and discarded. It is never stored.
